The starting point for each tour begins
at the sprawling Persada PLUS office complex
with a briefing and visit to its 24-hour Traffic
Monitoring Centre. Touted as the heart and
soul of PLUS’ operations, the centre
features state-of-the-art technology that
is used to track and monitor traffic and provide
emergency assistance when necessary. Real
time traffic information from strategically
placed closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras
and Automated Vehicle Detection Systems (AVDS)
is relayed to expressway users via Variable
Message Signboards (VMS) and through radio
broadcasts. |
